Sheryl R. Miller, MD

Dr. Miller joined Adult and Pediatric Dermatology in 2009.  Dr Miller graduated Tulane University with B.S., Summa Cum Laude and received her M.D. from the State University of New York, Downstate Medical Center with Honors and Distinction in Research. She also completed her dermatology residency at Downstate Medical Center.  Dr Miller has a vast background having practiced abroad , in academics, and private practice.  From 1992- 1995, she practiced dermatology in Israel at the Maccabi Healthcare Service and was a consulting dermatologist for the United States Embassy in Tel- Aviv.

Upon her return from Israel, she joined the dermatology  faculty of St. Luke's Roosevelt Hospital Center and was director of the dermatology inpatient consultation  service.  She was also nominated teacher of the year by the residents and faculty.  She continued her academic career by joining Weill Medical College, New York Hospital Department of Dermatology.  She assumed the position of residency director and ran the inpatient consultation service.  She developed an expertise in the diagnosis and management of cutaneous complications of leukemias, Bone Marrow Transplant patients, and solid tumors.

Dr Miller continued her consultations of highly complex patients in her private practice on the Upper East Side of New York City.  In addition to the diagnosis and management of severe skin disorders, she has had extensive experience in cosmetic dermatology.  She was trained in Laser surgery and the technique of dermatology fillers under the preceptorship of the plastic surgery department at New York Hospital.  Dr Miller has served as expert witness in cosmetic dermatology.

Dr Miller brings extensive experience from her  career in academic medicine, cosmetic dermatology, and private practice.
