Dr. Bostrom is a native of Milwaukee, WI. A cum laude graduate of Williams College, he received his medical degree from the University of
Pennsylvania in 1992. After performing a medical internship at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York, he completed his dermatology residency at Wayne State University in 1996. Between 1996 and 2001, he worked in private practice as a dermatologist in the greater Milwaukee area.
In 2001, Dr. Bostrom joined the US Air Force as an active duty officer, and has been stationed in Maryland, Texas, and Germany. While assigned to Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany as a dermatologist, he saw deployed soldiers from both the Afghanistan and Iraq conflicts in addition to family members and retirees. During this assignment, he deployed three times to Morocco for humanitarian missions, where he saw patients in remote villages who otherwise had little access to medical care. He has also volunteered as a staff physician at a camp for children with severe skin disease.
Dr. Bostrom is currently stationed at Hanscom Air Force Base, Massachusetts, where he serves as the Chief of Medical Staff for the 66th Medical Squadron. In addition, he is a part-time volunteer staff dermatologist at the Edith Nourse Rogers Veterans Administration Hospital in Bedford, MA. He is a board-certified dermatologist and speaks fluent French and German.
Dr. Bostrom’s clinical interests include general dermatology, the diagnosis and treatment of skin cancer, and treatment of under served populations. He enjoys treating patients of all ages.
