Accutane

Acne can be unsightly and painful. In addition to the physical toll, it can also saddle sufferers with poor self-esteem and even depression. The small Accutane^® capsules are taken orally in several courses for four-to-six months each.

About 50% of patients that use Accutane never need to do anything else for acne.

In the first few weeks of using Accutane, roughly one in five patients will see their acne condition get a little worse. Every 1/500 patients see their acne condition get much worse. For the rest of the patients, their condition either get much better or better for a while.
