Infection Control / Sick Policy
Please stay home and reschedule your appointment if:
- You have a fever of 100 degrees or higher within the last 24 hours. Patients who have been fever-free for more than 24 hours may come to the office.
- You have tested positive for COVID-19 or Influenza. We ask that you reschedule 5 days from when you first started feeling symptoms of COVID-19 or if you have not experienced symptoms, 5 days from when you learned you were positive for COVID-19.
- You have symptoms such as headache, sneezing, or other respiratory symptoms and have had recent contact with an individual who tested positive for COVID-19 or Influenza.
Masks for the patients, visitors, and staff are optional. Mask are required when:
- Patients experience respiratory symptoms, such as cough, congestion, runny nose, and sneezing, and have no confirmed exposure to COVID-19 and Influenza OR have testing that is confirmed to be negative to COVID-19 and/or influenza.
- When patients have requested that staff wear them.

Interpreter Services
APDerm provides free language assistance services, including oral interpretation and translated materials, to people whose primary language is not English and who have limited ability to read, write, speak, or understand English. Please call 978-371-7010 to request interpreter services for your visit. If an in-person interpreter is preferred, we ask that you give the office at least five days’ advance notice to ensure we can coordinate the service for you.
Treatment of Minors
Patients under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to their first appointment. To provide treatment to a minor without the presence of a parent or guardian during subsequent visits, a signed consent form must be on file and can be signed during the first visit. All copays or monies due are expected to be paid at the time of each service.
