About Michael Horwich

Michael Horwich, MD, PhD, is a U.S.-trained, board-certified dermatologist with over a decade of clinical experience. He earned his medical degree and PhD from the University of Massachusetts Medical School and completed his dermatology residency at the University of Connecticut. Before relocating to New Zealand, he practiced medical and surgical dermatology in Massachusetts at the New England Dermatology and Laser Center. Dr. Horwich is a Fellow of both the American Academy of Dermatology and the New Zealand Dermatological Society. His research background includes numerous peer-reviewed publications in RNA biology, and he maintains a special interest in the diagnosis and treatment of skin cancer and managing inflammatory skin disease. Outside of the clinic, Dr. Horwich enjoys hiking, skiing, tennis, and time with his two children.
