About Jill Slater-Freedberg

Dr. Slater-Freedberg graduated from Tufts University School of Medicine, where she was elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honors Medical Society and received the American Medical Women’s Association Achievement Citation and the Upjohn Achievement Award.

After completing two years in internal medicine at Boston’s Beth Israel Hospital, she trained at the Boston University/Tufts New England Medical Center combined residency program in Dermatology. Dr. Slater-Freedberg was an Assistant Professor in Dermatology at Boston University School of Medicine and served as the Chief of Dermatology for five years at the Boston Veterans Affairs Medical Center. She was a co-author for several publications, including a chapter on skin cancers in “Everyone’s Guide to Cancer Therapy”.

Dr. Slater-Freedberg sees adult and pediatric patients with a wide range of skin issues, including skin cancers and other growths, rosacea, psoriasis, and multiple types of dermatitis.
Prior to medical school, Dr. Slater-Freedberg attended the University of Michigan School of Pharmacy, where she received a B.S. in Pharmacy, and the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy, where she received a PharmD degree and became a member of the Rho Chi Honors Society. She also completed a research fellowship at Burroughs Wellcome Drug Company and the University of North Carolina.

Outside of the office, Dr. Slater-Freedberg enjoys traveling, yoga, hiking, skiing, biking, swimming, and boating, as well as cooking and spending time at home on Martha’s Vineyard or in the Adirondacks with her husband and two children.
