About Heather Galonzka

Heather Galonzka is a Certified Nurse Practitioner, a member of the National Academy of Dermatology Nurse Practitioners, the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, and the Dermatology Nurses’ Association. Heather attended the University of Massachusetts Boston, where she graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Upon graduation, she worked as a Registered Nurse for Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton, Massachusetts. She then decided to further her career and pursue her dream of becoming a Nurse Practitioner. She was accepted into the competitive Graduate School of Nursing at UMASS Medical School in Worcester, Massachusetts. She excelled in her studies and was quick to advocate for herself, classmates and patients. Subsequently, she was presented with the Mary K. Alexander Academic Achievement and Leadership Award upon commencement in 2015.

Heather’s passion for dermatology is long standing and developed prior to obtaining her graduate degree. She was fortunate to have a family member who works in dermatology and had allowed her to observe clinically. By the time she was accepted into graduate school, it was clear that dermatology was Heather’s calling. In addition to her rigorous educational and clinical curriculum, she advocated to undertake a dermatology rotation. This allowed her to train under a well-studied and well-respected Dermatologist in Worcester, Massachusetts. This opportunity presented her with her first dermatology position. She was fortunate to have extensive individualized training, which laid the foundation of her career in Dermatology.

Heather joined the AP Dermatology team in August of 2026. She is dedicated to creating the best possible patient experience and delivering the highest quality of care to her patients. She is committed to expanding her skill set and devoted to staying up to date on the latest research. She treats a wide array of dermatological concerns, with acne and rosacea being her areas of passion. When not at work, she enjoys hiking, interior design and spending time in Maine with her husband and two young daughters.
